Dow Thailand Encourages Love of Reading Habit among Young Children

Dow Thailand Group led by Yukultorn Panichayapichet, Culture Change & Learning Group and Site Infrastructure Leader, together with 20 Dow volunteers organized the “Clean & Safe Library” activity under the “Neighbor Care” project at Ban Payoon School in Ban Chang district, Rayong province. The volunteers joined forces in categorizing and rearranging books for easier retrieval of information, preparing a book corner for young children, repainting the wall and shelves, repairing electrical and lighting systems, and changing the ceiling fan for safety purpose. In this event, Suchin Poonhirun, Mayor of Ban Chang Sub-district, also joined the activity.
The Clean & Safe Library is the 18th activity of the “Neighbor Care” project which Dow Thailand Group has encouraged its employees to initiate the activities which can help improve the better life quality of people in Rayong’s communities. So far more than 670 Dow volunteers have been participating in the project since 2014.
