Dow Thailand hands over 50 Water Filtration Machines and one Mobile Water Filtration Unit to the Thai Red Cross Society
Mr. Andrew Liveris, Chairman and CEO of The Dow Chemical Company (3rd from left) together with project partners - Unitech Company and Water Net Company, handed over 50 water filtration machines using Dow’s Ultrafiltration and Reverse Osmosis technology to 50 underprivileged schools and a new mobile water filtration unit, worth USD 200,000 or approximately 6.5 million baht to Dr. Amnat Balee, Director of the Relief and Community Health Bureau (4th from left).
The water filtration machines have been installed in 50 underprivileged schools nationwide under “Thai Red Cross - Dow Clean Drinking Water for Remote Schools” project and a new mobile water filtration unit is for natural disaster relief mission of the Thai Red Cross Society.
“Thai Red Cross - Dow Clean Drinking Water for Remote Schools” project was initiated by Dow Thailand Group and business partners, Unitech Co., Ltd. and Water Net Public Co., Ltd. The project aims to address water challenges in Thailand and to provide better access to clean drinking water and quality of life for remote students through advanced technology on the occasion of the company’s 50th anniversary.
