Dow and Thanavut introduced Polyurea Spray Elastomer - high performance protective coatings for industrial use
Bangkok - October 10, 2017 - Dow Thailand Group and Thanavut Composite Company Limited, today introduced Polyurea spray elastomer, coating solutions that have been developed to protect and extend the life of substrates. The high performance polyurea innovation allows fast cure, excellent flexibility, and superior bond strength for industrial applications with the durability of up to 25-30 years without the need for reapplication. This business partnership reflects Dow’s endeavor in endorsing Thailand 4.0 scheme through the implementation of value-added R&D innovation and global know-how for local customers.
Polyurea coating solutions are widely used in Europe, USA, Japan and China. Polyurea Spray Elastomer is developed and manufactured by Dow Polyurethanes, a global business unit of Dow. These waterproofing and corrosion resistant coatings are applied on large construction areas such as reservoirs, power plants, tunnels, railroads, marine drilling rigs, parking lots, roofs, freight ships, and cargo trucks. It is currently one of the highest performance waterproofing system innovations with 500% elongation. The collaboration between global and local businesses such as Dow and Thanavut will help accelerate local business growth and competitiveness to penetrate the niche segment in Industrial markets.
