All Dow Thailand’s Plants Qualified for Eco Factory Award

BANGKOK - September 28, 2017 - Dow Thailand Group received the Eco Factory Awards at Eco Innovation Forum 2017, an annual academic seminar hosted by The Industrial Environmental Institute, The Federation of Thai Industries, and The Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand. The awards were presented by Dr. Somchai Harnhiran, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry, to three of Dow Thailand Group’s plants – Synthetic Latex Emulsion Plant (Carbide Chemical (Thailand) Limited), Acrylic Emulsion Plant and Poly-Acrylic Acid Plant (Rohm and Hass Chemical (Thailand) Limited) at BITEC Bangna. So far all 14 plants of Dow Thailand Group have been already granted the Eco Factory Certificates since 2015.

Eco Factory Award
The Eco Factory Award is granted to plants that display a strong commitment to responsible operations for sustainable development in 5 aspects (physical, economic, social, environmental and administration) with the focus on Eco-Symbiosis and the continuous development and improvement of manufacturing process and environmental management on the basis of social responsibility within and outside the organization throughout the whole supply chain.
