Dow announces WE Are Innovators challenge winner

BANGKOK - June 06, 2019 - Siriporn Phuangmarayat (4th right), Dow Thailand Human Resources Director, presented the WE Are Innovators Award to Damrongratsongkroh School led by Songsak Thepduangkaew (5th right), School Director, together with teachers and students who were selected as Asia Pacific representatives on a service-learning trip to Kenya where they will get the opportunity to gain hands-on volunteer experience from 28 June to 9 July. The school’s “Seeding Orchid Nursery Sheets from Absorbency Produce from Bio-Cellulose from Pineapple Peel Waste” project is expected to decrease food waste from pineapple peels, reduce pollution and prove usefulness of bio-cellulose sheets (fermentation process occurring from pineapple peel that can aid in water absorption).
