Rayong - December 20, 2018 - Dow Thailand Group represented by Mrs. Poranee Kongamornpinyo, Public Affairs Director, recently joined a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) ceremony at Soi Phet Function Room, Golden City Hotel, Rayong where 26 organizations from various government, business, and community sectors signed the MoU to reduce the amount of plastic waste in the Rayong Province. The ceremony was led by Mr. Surasak Charoensirichote, Rayong Governor, aiming to create a solid cooperation among all parties to integrate and develop the most effective waste management system by reducing the Single-Use Plastics and at the same time promote waste sorting, starting from household or consumers for the utmost recycling process.
In support of the Project, Dow donated THB 1 million to Mr. Paradorn Chulajata, Chairman of Plastic Industry Club under the jurisdiction of The Federation of Thai Industries and the project team’s chairman. The funding is to support the mission to reduce plastic wastes in the ocean by 50% within 10 years, as well as to advocate the Circular Economy to enhance more reusable the production and the products themselves. The project also aims to emphasize on managing the waste management which stem from activities ranging from production to consumption.
