BANGKOK - April 04, 2019 - Chatchai Luanpolcharoenchai (middle), Dow Thailand President, provided a financial support worth 4,000,000 baht to Dr. Kriengsak Wongpromrat (2nd from right), Director of Plastics Institute of Thailand and Paradon Chulajata (far right), Chairman of Plastics Institute of Thailand. The funding was granted to support the Public Private Partnership for Plastics Waste Management and the Plastic Road projects.
Both projects aim to reduce ocean waste in Thailand for no less than 50 per cent by the year 2027, encourage the adoption of the Circular Economy principle, promote the standard of recycling business, support entrepreneurs to develop innovation and technology for sustainable plastic management and educate consumers and the public about the proper disposal of waste and waste management.
