Dow Volunteers join forces with customer and Habitat in building 37th house for charity

Bangkok – May 29, 2020 – Dow and Toyokoh joined forces in building the 37th decent, hygienic and safe house for the low-income family nearby Dow's manufacturing plants. It is the first time we have applied DOW VORACOR, the latest green innovation in spray foam for thermal protection, on the roof in an ASEAN residential building. In the handover ceremony, Mr. Surasak Charoensirichote, Rayong governor, and Mr. Decha Panichayapichet, site director of Dow Thailand, congratulated the new homeowner.

"We not only brought a new roofing system from our polyurethane business to life, but we also have worked together with our employees, Habitat for Humanity Thailand, and our business partner. This brings many parties together to give back to the community in which we operate. It is inspiring and a perfect example of collaboration, which reflects our 'Seek Together' brand line," said Decha.

With a commitment to the well-being of Rayong communities, Dow Thailand has continually operated the Dow's Habitat House Project in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Thailand since 2006. Over the past 15 years, Dow has been supporting Habitat through various approaches, including house sponsorship worth 300,000 baht for each house construction and employee volunteer work crews. So far, 37 houses and public buildings have already been handed over to underprivileged families under this collaboration.
