Dow Volunteers Join Forces in Building Dow’s 36th Habitat House for Underprivileged Families

RAYONG - May 25, 2018 - Mr. Decha Panichayapichet, Site Director of Dow Thailand Group, together with more than 60 Dow volunteers joined hands in building a decent, hygienic, and safe house for the family of Ms. Liam Sawaengha in Map-Ta-Phut sub-district, Rayong province, who is the owner of Dow’s 36th Habitat House. In the event, Mr. Tawin Photibuatong, Map Ta Phut City Mayor, also presided over the opening ceremony and congratulated with the new homeowner.

With commitment to developing sustainable housing to promote the quality of life in nearby communities and uplift the community welfare of Thai people nationwide, Dow Thailand Group has ongoing operated the Dow’s Habitat House Project in collaborative partnership with Habitat for Humanity Thailand since 2006. Over the past 13 years, Dow lends support to Habitat through various approaches, including house sponsorship worth 250,000 baht for each house construction and employee volunteer work crews. So far 35 homes and public buildings have been already handed over to underprivileged families to have a proper housing.
