First time in Thai real estate! Sansiri collaborates with Dow to create an eco-playground using ECOGROUND™ innovation, aiming to be a leader in housing sustainability

BANGKOK – 16 June 2023 - Sansiri Public Company Limited, a leader in real estate development in Thailand, joined hands with Dow Thailand Group to launch the first-ever eco-friendly playground using the innovative ECOGROUND™ Waterborne Acrylic Binder System at the Habito Mall in Bangkok. The collaboration aims to bring safe and environmentally friendly construction innovations to meet the needs of residential design for every new generation's lifestyle.

ECOGROUND™ is Dow's new binder technology developed for safety, health, and environmental friendliness. It is appropriate for eco-friendly sports rubber surface installation such as running tracks, playgrounds, and bicycle lanes which are becoming increasingly popular. ECOGROUND™ water-based acrylic technology reduces the odor of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and eliminates the use of hazardous chemicals. As a result, it is safe for both construction workers and end users. In addition, ECOGROUND™ combines acrylic's weatherproof properties, therefore, it is durable and lasting in all weather conditions. It also makes users safer because the surface is flexible and stiff enough to support impact.

"Sansiri is committed to developing eco-friendly residences. Recently, we set out our zero carbon roadmap and aim to be Thailand’s first net-zero property developer. We initiated T77 Community as our pilot city to introduce the concept of green living and innovations that we plan to apply for our future projects, such as a solar rooftop installation,” Ongart Suwanakul, Assistant Managing Director Condominium Project Development Department, Sansiri Public Company Limited, said, “This collaboration with Dow to upgrade the playground at Habito Mall to become an eco-friendly playground using innovative ECOGROUND™ flooring solution is a proof of our determination to strive for new innovations to deliver a good quality of life and long-term environmental friendliness.”
