Products: General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) / High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) / Ignition Resistant Polystyrene (IRPS)This is Dow Thailand Group’s first plant founded in Phra Pradaeng in 1978 before beingrelocated to Map Ta Phut in 1995. The polystyrene plant has got raw materials from one of the Group’s subsidiaries – Siam Styrene Monomer Co., Ltd. to produce multi-purposehigh-quality polystyrene products found in a wide range of everyday items for several customer applications, such as home appliances (i.e. refrigerators, air conditioner, etc.), information technology equipment (ITE), food packaging and so on. The plant has adopted the best-ever technology that enhances the world-class production capacity of polystyrene, an incredibly versatile plastic that consumes less energy and produces zero emissions.
